Wing Chun is a form of southern chinese kung fu developed around 400 years ago. It emphasises a straightforward and direct approach to self defence, with no reliance on strength or flowery technique. This incredibly efficient system is 'easy to learn, but hard to master'. If you are looking for competitions, medals, belts and flying kicks - i would look elsewhere. If you want a super efficient martial art that will equip you with confidence and skill to look after yourself, then maybe wing chun is for you.
If you are new to the class, regardless of whether you have wing chun experience, you will be required to complete a foundation syllabus over 12 weeks. After this period you will be assessed, given feedback, and assuming your standard and committment is correct, you will be invited to join our school andthe benefits it offers. You will then follow the standard wing chun syllabus which consists of the hand forms (Siu Lim Tao , Chum Kiu and Biu Jee), Chi Sao Training, Wooden Dummy, Pole, Knives and Sparring.
