The Art of Wing Chun (Ving Tsun) Kung Fu

Wing Chun is a form of southern chinese kung fu probably developed around 400 years ago. It emphasises a direct approach to self defence, with no reliance on strength or flowery technique. This incredibly efficient system is 'easy to learn, but hard to master'. The club follows the traditional syllabus as taught by Master Li, using the hand-forms as the pathway for learning.

If you are new to the class, regardless of whether you have wing chun experience, you will be required to complete a foundation syllabus over 12 weeks. After this period you will be assessed, and assuming your standard, training ethic and attitude are correct, you will be invited to join our school andthe benefits it offers. The school very much focusses on quality not quantity, so please keep this in mind - we do expect you to have the right mindset for the art. Following your foundation syllabus, you will then explore the wing chun hand forms (Siu Lim Tao , Chum Kiu and Biu Jee), Chi Sao Training, Dummy, Pole and Knives.
